Goals and Results
Goals and Results
Users needed a tool that presents data about road features and traffic conditions into the app. Using the iRAP Pedestrian Star Rating methodology, we succeeded to calculate the safety level of school journeys at specific locations, and presented the results in a format that was easy to understand for users.
Brand Guidelines
We focused on user-centric design and clear, simple interfaces, as well as seamless integration with other tools and agile development processes. Our ongoing support included comprehensive resources and regular updates based on user feedback and best practices.

UI design
Our UI was designed to be simple, intuitive, and visually appealing, with clear and concise labels, buttons, and icons that were easily understandable by users. Throughout the development process, we collected and incorporated customer feedback to ensure that the UI met the needs of its users.
Tech Stack
We used Flutter, an open-source framework, to develop the app's frontend, which allowed us to build a high-performance, cross-platform app. For the backend, we used Node.js, a popular open-source JavaScript runtime for building scalable and efficient web applications. We designed a RESTful API to handle data transfer between the app and the server, ensuring that user data was secure and protected. We also implemented a database to store user data and enable real-time synchronization across multiple devices.

Scale 3C was a great partner helping us provide a tool to support organisations in assessing road safety around schools all over the world. The SR4S app was developed by the S3C team in outstanding quality standards, in a quick and smooth process, and with very positive feedback from end users.
